My child-like curiosity, empathy, creative drive, and passion for inclusivity would be a valuable asset to your organization.
In addition to my interdisciplinary academic background, my child-like curiosity, empathy, creative drive, and intrinsic passion for inclusivity would be a valuable asset to your organization. I strongly believe that we as humans and as a society can do better: our western world has been founded and molded by a patriarchal system that has perpetuated these inflexible systems for generations. I have faced the rigid, bigoted barriers that society has built for those that fit outside the realm of “normalcy”. I have seen firsthand what works and does not work in society for those that exist outside the status quo. In 2019, I lost my mother to a neurodegenerative disease called Friedreich’s ataxia. I have experienced through her struggles that our society could and should improve inclusivity and equity standards. By raising these standards, we will innately improve the quality of life for all people. Because of these experiences, I have gained an intuitive understanding of others’ needs and emotions, and how to listen and communicate these needs to different audiences.
